Connect an AI assistant to Life Map AI
Connect ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI assistant so it can read Life Map AI's public publications, research pages, and project information while you chat. Nothing personal is shared — no accounts, life maps, journal entries, or study responses.

ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT → Settings → Apps (Advanced) and turn on Developer mode, noting the risk warning shown there. If the option is missing, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it.
- Click the “Create app” button next to the back button.
- Give it a name (for example Life Map AI) and paste the server URL above.
- Click “Create”.
- Enable the app from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to use it.
Claude
- Open the prefilled “Add custom connector” dialog in Claude.
- Review the name and URL, then click “Add”.
- If the prefilled form doesn't open, go to Claude → Connectors → “Add custom connector”, name it Life Map AI, and paste the server URL above.
- Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use it.
Claude Code
- Run this in a terminal:

/mcpto confirm the app is connected. - Ask Claude Code to use the app.
Other AI assistants
- Open the assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.
- Create a new remote connection.
- Name it Life Map AI and paste the server URL above.
- Complete any sign-in or authorization prompts.
- Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to use it.
Refresh after the app changes
A connected assistant remembers what the app could do when it first connected. After we ship updates, refresh the connection to pick up the latest.
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT's app preferences and pick Life Map AI under “Enabled apps”.
- Next to “Information”, click “Refresh”.
- If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
- Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use the app.
Claude
- Open the Connectors page and select the Life Map AI connector.
- Refresh or update the connector's tools.
- If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
- Ask Claude to use the app.
Claude Code
- Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest on connect.
- If the URL changed, run
claude mcp remove life-map-ai, then run the install command above again. - Ask Claude Code to use the app.
Other AI assistants
- Open the assistant's MCP server or connector settings.
- Select the connection created for Life Map AI.
- Refresh its tools, reload the server, or reconnect it.
- If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
- Start a new chat or session and ask the assistant to use the app.
